CROSS-CULTURAL BOOK and EXHIBITION

A collection of drawings and paintings by renowned artist Eric Coolen (winner of the Haarlem Achievement Award and the Holland Art and Culture Award De Olifant) which celebrate his love of Haarlem and Glasgow. In this - the first of Eric Coolen’s Cityscape books, Eric compares major sites in this unique cross-cultural book.

Historians, Wim Cerutti and Peter Hammann, have written appropriate pieces to compliment the the theme of the book. As well as this writer, Bies van Ede, who has also contributed an interesting story with a Dutch - Scottish connection.

The aim is to highlight the amazing architecture in both cities through Eric's art, and to encourage more travel and interaction between Glasgow and Haarlem. See how Eric builds up his drawings and enjoy the colour and magic of this wonderful, bilingual, two-way book.

Aan de hand van illustraties belicht Eric zijn favoriete steden Glasgow en Haarlem. De illustraties worden getoond tijdens exposities (in Glasgow en Haarlem) en zijn samengebracht in een prachtig omkeerboek (uitgegeven bij Neetah Books).

In het boek zijn speciale bijdragen te vinden van auteurs/historici: Bies van Ede, Wim Cerutti en Peter Hammann.
